MikeXRyan Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 The guy who set up our OSC appears to have added a shipping fee of $3 somewhere in the system even though there should be no shipping fee because our products are digital downloads. I went into the shipping module and found it was set up for a $5 flat rate. Where the $3 comes from I don't know. Maybe it is a default fee of some sort? I zeroed out the $5 flat rate and disabled the flat shipping altogether. I then sent a friend in to register and purchase a $1 product using PayPal. At the checkout counter it adds a $3 shipping fee. Total fee for the $1 item is $4.00. How do I shut that 3.00 fee off? Mike

I'll try posting a duplicate in General Support and see if someone there knows the answer. Mike
glamourfish Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 the only thing I can think of is to check the shipping module again! make sure everything is uninstalled. Make sure you only have the flatrate set and make sure it is zero.... I can't think of anything else that can be causing it. if at first you do succeed...try not to look surprised!

Thanks Glamourfish, I'll take a looksee and make sure everything is as you advise. I was afraid it was hard-coded because there was never an entry for $3. The flat rate was set to $5 as a default but I zeroed that out. Will try again. What would be helpful is an answer from someone actually offering and selling digital downloads and a posting of their shipping settings. I could match them and see if the problem persists and be better able to pinpoint the problem. :'( Mike
