Problem with the Admin folder

Trusten

Recommended Posts

Hi, my problem is that my host has admin folders for all their virtual server accounts.

All of them. So each time I try to use 'YOUR' admin folder, it prompts me to log into my control pannel.

Do you have another shopping cart that is identical to this one, that uses a folder called something like ... admin_1 or something like that. ANYTHING other than 'admin'

PLEASE HELP!

Hi

Why cant you just rename your Catalog>admin folder to something else ?

Call it shop_admin or something like that . I dont think it will make a difference as long as your paths are setup correctly in your configure.php file . Am I right here guys ?

Actually, on refelction, where did you put your shop folders ? In your site root or in another folder within your site root ?

For my shop I did the following.

Created a folder called catalog in my site root.

Uploaded all my catalog files into the catalog folder .

Uploaded my admin folder into the catalog folder (leave the files in admin folder)

so to access the shop type ...

www.yoursite.com/catalog

and to access the admin I have

www.yoursite.com/catalog/admin

Is this what you did ?

When you say all the links , you mean the shop links ?

take a look at configure.php

its in the catalog/includes/ folder.

There are some paths there that need to be defined before the shop will work. Are you using V2.2 ? Did you run the install ?

Seems I have same problem with admin. :'(

I have uploaded my files to the servers, the catalog works fine but the admin page does not show up. It's juz a blank page. I use "myadmin" as the folder name since "admin" is already used to access my webhost control panel. Everything is fine on localhost before. Is it because anything wrong with the path in configure.php or anything else? Here is My Webpage and admin page.

Please anyone help me resolve this. Thx.

myadmin/includes/configure.php file:

fixed the error, and thanks for the suggestion. catalog/admin seems to work.

problem is, all the links point to exchange.com/ something

ya know?

is there somewhere i'm suppose to configure that?

I'm having a similar problem. When I try access any link from the admin page, I get a Google page saying that mystore.com was not found. How did you fix this?
