Setting up a new store and everything is working great, went to place a test purchase and when ever i go to add an item to the cart it takes me to the cart with a message there are no items in the cart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too have been searching for an answer to this one for nearly a week now, and it is not an uncommon question in these forums.

Surely someone out there has some idea of what is causing this to happen.

Note this is not a live site it is one which i am trying to understand the workings of oscommerce.

The site i am trying to get fully up and running is currently in a completly fresh state of installation and still exhibits the same problem.

Ed,

What version of php are you running? I am going thru things trying one thing at a time.

Without much luck yet, but we'll get it.

Some info might help:

MYSQL CLEINT API VERSION: 3.23.58

OSCOMMERCE VERSION 2.2 MS2

Installed from Plesk 8.0 Application Vault.

Sometimes getting error:

Warning: session_write_close(): Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed until PHP 4.2.3. Please be advised that the session extension does not consider global variables as a source of data, unless register_globals is enabled. You can disable this functionality and this warning by setting session.bug_compat_42 or session.bug_compat_warn to off, respectively. in /home/httpd/vhosts/uniformsolutions.net/httpdocs/osCommerce/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 106
