A short tutorial on cc-modules .... please

I'm about to implement a danish creditcard (Dankort) and international Visa cards on my site.

In my case the system will be:

 

osc2.2 calls a Secure Pay-gateway at once, which holds the information until delivery, where after I collect the payment on the Pay-gateway site.

 

The cc.php collects data and saves them in osc, and as fare as I can see it dosn't make any realtime calls.

 

Some of the other modules does.

 

So here is my questions:

Which cc-modules are suited for direct calls to gateways, and which are best suited for batch?

Should I rebuild the cc.php contrib from SI, or choose another or build my own?

When do osc actually send the payment to the gateway? When going from payment to confirmation form or when actually confirming the order?
