Assigning ID's to the Browse by Category and Browse by Brand links..

Hi Guys,

With christmas coming up, one of our clients has asked to do some subtle changes to their OSC template, adding some graphics here and there, etc.

 

One of the things they have asked for is to have a holly icon next to the Christmas Specials category link, so i'm thinking if there was a way i could echo the category id as the anchors ID, then i could use css to add the bells and whistles. The same concept applies to the browse by brand module, as they want the brand links to be images (brand logos) instead of text based links. I know i can easily hard code a menu with the logos inline, but semantically and practically this doesnt seem like the right way to go. Having unique id's on the links, i could easily use css to achieve the desired result.

 

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I don't mean to be a pain, but does anyone have any ideas about this one? I am sure its probably relatively simple (if you know how)! Any help would be much appreciated!
