using jpg instead of gif images

hello, i searched the database, but i didnt find anything.

can i use jpg-images instead of gif-images?

 

in which php-file i have to change something.

You can use either gif os jpgs...this shouldn't be a problem. you don't need to change a setting for the code to accept either. But you might need to change the file name from a gif to a jpg , eg oscommerce.gif, to oscommerce.jpg if you're using a jpg instead of a gif....
