Postage added to postpaid items

This should be a bug report, but there seems to be a moratorium on new bug reports so here goes.

 

I have only one shipping method - by zone. Most of my stuff has zone shipping tacked on, and that works fine. Some items, though, have postage included in the price, so of course I don't want postage added. I thought I had solved this problem by setting the shipping weight field to zero for these items.

 

That works for items that have no options set, but for items that have options the shipping module always adds postage at the rate that applies the smallest nonzero weight category in the zone table, namely 0.15 kgs.

 

Adding a zero entry to the zone table hasn't solved the problem.

 

I'm new to osC so I may be overlooking something obvious...

Hi Marc,

 

I don't see an answer to your problem here and wondering if you were ever able to resolve or fix it. I'm having a similar problem where the system is tacking on a $3 shipping fee to any digital download purchase and I can't figure out why. If you have any thoughts, please post them.
