RaVeNSmoke Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Ok. So I completed the install, chmodded my files, and all that fun stuff. I didnt continue from the install to the admin area of the site, and just went to bed. This morning, my domain was ready, so I set that, and tried to go to the admin area of the site... oh.. wait.. where the heck do I find my admin login and password? I dont see it anywhere in phpmyadmin. I dont see it anywhere. And I know I was not told it. So how do I access this?
usernamenone Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 in the browser go to www.yoursite/com/catalog/admin oscommerce does not password protect the admin folder. It is up to you to do that yourself
aharen Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 hmmm...anyone got any idea of how it can be done?? thanx in advance
usernamenone Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 There are a few ways. Depending on your hosting you might be able to password files on your server. You should be able to find this out by your control panel. Some have success adding it to their .htaccess, None of these worked for me so I found a contribution called secure admin login logout. I believe it only works if you have a ssl installed on your site. If you do not have a ssl on your site may have to change the name of admin until you do have one. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ogin-Logout_1_3
