SeanB Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 K, that little glitch in the DB didn't make me feel any better. here's what i tried to post ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I consider myself fairly well informed. I was able to install, configure, and make a number of modifications to my Oscommerce store, as well as a number of other open source programs. I was starting to feel like i knew what i was doing. Then i tried to install OSC Affiliates and saw this Insert the new tables found in the affiliate.sql file into your osCommerce catalog database. Yeah.... i dont know what that means. Feel like a total loser. can anyone point me in the right direction? Quote My website's address is in My Profile, since it's not allowed to be in my signature.

Hi May be able to in myphpadmin , or similar sql admin programme, go to the database that your are using,,, -- view-- click on the table that your wanting to import click on it..them go to import ,, check the sql radio button and import/go it shoud overwrite that table or you can just go to the database name and import it into the whole database if the tables have not been created -- the file should have inside 'drop if xyz exists' create xyz' look inside the file with notepad hope this helps cheers russell Quote Rusty -------------------------------------------
SeanB Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 I think the reason i'm confused may be because i'm using Godaddy hosting. I've never seen something that resembles what your talking about. Fortunatly i get 24/7 support from them, maybe this is one time i should contact my host. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though. I should be able to find it now. Quote My website's address is in My Profile, since it's not allowed to be in my signature.
