Guest Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 My web host has OsCommerce pre-installed on the package I'm running. I activated it and got it configured, even was able to transfer my database of products from another cart program into it. I opened the admin panel and began to upload the product images that go with each product, but the images will not show up. All I get is a box with the product title and a red X. I've tried uploading to the catalog/images directory. I've tried uploading to the main directory. I've tried uploading to the main images directory. Still nothing. On the admin panel I have all the graphics, except for images I upload. If I open the cart I have no graphics other than the add to cart button, the review button, the language graphic and tell a friend. No other graphics show up anywhere. I was able to download the package and I'm attempting to upload the graphics manually, but how can I fix the product images problem? Toni

Toni The first thing you should try is connecting to your site with FTP and change the permissions of your catalog, images directory and the images themselves. Sometimes osCommerce sets up with restricted permissions by default. If that doesn't work just repost and we'll come up with some other ideas. Meanwhile, what is your URL? Just between us, remember there are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't!! Remember, learning is a "do-it-yourself" experience; although, not necessarily a "do-it-BY-yourself" experience. The quickest way to learn is to forget to BACKUP!
Guest Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Well I got everything uploaded and so far nothing it showing up. I went in and made sure the directories weren't restricted. So far nothing is helping. Any other suggestions? The url is http://www.mothersuniquedesigns.com/catalog Maybe something is amiss that I'm missing. Toni

Guest Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Nope not in the images directories. Any other ideas? I'm just totally at a loss. I thought for sure that uploading product images through the admin panel would show up. Toni
