remove manufacturers_image

After seaching forums and googling I have tried commenting out bits code in index.php, english index.php, manufacturers.php and a few others but I still cannot get rid of the box where the various manufactueres image would show up, an empty box under cart contents still appears.

If you see any other errors please mention them as well. Any other suggestions as to layout etc would be most welcomed.

 

The site is still a work in progress.
