Automated email not sending.

I am having problems with email sent from the site. I had to re-install OSC from a backup. Everything came in clean. All products, and customers were in tack, as well as all options. The only problem now that there are no automated emails being sent to the customer, or to me after orders. All options that I see say to send emails. I did a test manual send email directly from the admin pannel, and that email was sent. Automated emails are not.

 

Any suggestions? I am running on PHP 4.4.4. I was on 5.x before. Could that be the difference?

Are y'all using smtp or sendmail?

 

admin -> confifugration -> email options - also you may only be able to send text and not html.

I tried both...they both work when I send emails directly to customer in the admin utility...but the automated emails for making accounts and orders are not working.

 

This is interesting: It works fine on my test server, but when I moved it over to my brand new colo mac-mini it stopped working. I also have register gloabals off, I wonder if this is part of the problem?....the site is operating perfectly except this...
