Hi Guys

More through look than judgement I've managed to get so far through in terms of uploading and getting myself installed - however I've got this message appear at the top of the window now - wonder if anyone can help advise how I can overcome them....

Warning: Installation directory exists at: /kunden/homepages/28/d166227607/htdocs/os_commerce/catalog/install. Please remove this directory for security reasons.

Warning Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /kunden/homepages/28/d166227607/htdocs/os_commerce/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I've removed the catalog/install file thru the tools file on the admin panel, but still get the message - the other one I'm unsure of...

Also I've tried loading trial products up, but they come up with no prices :(

A bit confused at the moment, and could do with some pointers if anyone out there could be so kind :)

url is slotbox.co.uk - do you need it?

You just need to set the permissions of the configure.php file. That is it. I believe the correct permissions are 744. You should change it otherwise you run the risk of somebody modifying your settings easily without your knowledge.

For the prices, I see prices on all your products.

Let me know if you still need help.

Both config files should be set to 644 or 444. (depends how carfull you want to be)

catalog/includes/configure.php

catalog/admin/includes/configure.php

Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!!

Thanks for your responses Guys, for some reason I had a complete brain **** and couldn't remember how to change the permissions on the php files (I am not very technical minded with this stuff I have to say)...

So thanks for your help, I also realised I had removed other currencies as I only require UK Sterling, and hadn't elected a default currency and therefore no currency was showing up...

Many thanks for your replies, on to the next quandry  :D
