Authorize.Net - Declining in R/L and test modes

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend out with his cart. It's been working and selling well for over a year, but recently he noticed (after a customer call) that it had started to decline all cards. No system or software change was done. After speaking to Authorize.net we learned that it was not sending the requests to them - no transaction (successful or fail) activity. We reinstalled the security key etc etc.

I have tested it with Authorize.Net and the module both in live mode, and when both or either in test mode. Even with Authorize.Net in test mode and the module in test mode, both the test card number, and a real card got declined - the test card in test mode should never be declined. No 3rd party fraud modules installed. I reinstalled the module via teh GUI and manually reinstalled the php file from a fresh download.

Does any one have any pointers I should look towards? I've been googling all night to no avail. I can't explain it.

Thanks

Cian

SOLVED

found a mod here to show in the card declined message the authorize.net numerical error. eventually discovered moron ISP's timestamp (unix time) was way ways off. Max tolerance for authorize.net is +/- equiv of 15 minutes. (error code 97).
