How to add stuff to bottom of Column

Hello,

 

I have a website i have been trying for a while to figure out.

 

I have space at the bottom of my left column which I would like to add

logos, text, etc.

 

Problem is, everytime I try to add something, it goes to the top of the column above the categories box,

No matter where I put the info in the column_left.php file.

 

Im sure it must be something simple that I am missing.
