Client is telling me their new webstore is charging some people's cards 2 or 3 times. Is this the customer just clicking submit more than once, or is it a problem with the store? Anyone have this problem before? Would be cool if it was as easy to fix as telling the customer not to click more than once... haha. Anyway, as always, any info would be gggrrreeatly appreciated. Here's some specifics.... osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 Update 060817 installed contributions: STS (v4.2) Infobox Template (v1.0.3) "On the Fly" Thumbnailer (v2.1.2) PayPal Website Payment Pro (v0.8.2)

They can charge twice which is called "Pre Payment" then within 24 hours that extra payment will drop. Wade Morris Amarillo, Texas Before you do any changes on your site you need to do BACKUP! What I meant on Pre Payment in other words is called Pre-Autherized that means when a customer uses a credit card they will see a double pay. That means they want to make sure that they have money in there account. if they do the extra double pay will drop automaticly. Guest Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Yeah I don't think that's what I have going on. The customers' card is sometimes charges more than once, and the money is also deposited in the sellers account 2-3x, so they have to refund it back.
windprod_doc Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 anyone have this happen too? I have a client who has been getting multiple orders in database, about three out of four customers. Sometimes 2, sometimes 5.... and sometimes just 1. HOWEVER, CC is charged only once in each instance. Same client also started getting IE errors when working with orders in Admin. Starting to wonder if there might be something stinky in new IE7 build.
