Administrative Users

Is there a way to add multiple administrative users to the /catalog/admin folder? If yes, can the specific users be limited to specific functions?

 

This request comes from a situation where I want to offer a client the ability to add products and view reports on their website but not be able to make changes to the "guts" of the shopping cart. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
