I don't use a Mac, but in Dreamweaver Windows on the File tab select "Remote View" find the file you what to change the permissions on and right mouse click (not sure how you do that on Mac) and select "Set Permissions" you can then just put in the number of the permissions settings (eg. 777). Hope this helps.
