Adding dynamic products

Hi,

 

I have written my own PHP sript that interacts with Uk2Number (an 0845 NGN provider). The script basically allows my current site to list available NGNs. A customer can select a number to put into their shopping cart then purchase it. The NGN number is added as a product on the fly and another script then runs to reserve the number at UK2Numbers.

 

Is it possible to have this level of interation with oscommerce? If so, as i'm new, can you provide any guidance on how I would integrate my existing scripts?

I don't know about getting your scripts to run (although that should be possible) but adding products on the fly is possible. The code has to be written for it to happen though. But showing how is beyond the scope of the forums, at least for me, since it would take too much time. But, as an overview, just generate the product information (name, model and the like) and add it to the correct category group. It will show up as a product after that and can be ordered like any other.
