trav Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'm a newbie, although I found osCommerce quite easy to install !! I followed the steps exactly, however i have an issue with all the images. They are all "garbled", or missing. See the attachment and you'll know what i mean. This is not just on the Admin screen, but all the sample product's in there, the logo, all buttons, etc. Any ideas? Did a search + no luck... Thanks!
modulate Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Try uploading the images in the image folders by binary.
trav Posted November 16, 2006 Author Posted November 16, 2006 Thanks for the tip... but didnt solve problem! Top 3 logos on the catalog screen look ok now, but still the Admin screen is all over the place - Images garbled or missing. Any other ideas?
browland Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I think I have the same issue. When I connect to our website with HTTP, everything looks good - pictures, layout. However when I go to HTTPS, All our website pictures are gone, and the page layout is completely blown away the words are all there but the formatting is messed up. Also I can not get our site to use SSL for "create an account" or shopping cart. Am I missing something here or is our hosting company needing to make a change? I have shut off the ssl in configure.php currently while working on our shopping cart.
trav Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 browland : very different issue from me. My issue is with the images only, and the display of these images. My layout / formatting is fine.
♥Vger Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Check that your admin/includes/configure.php file was actually written to by the install. It's common with Windows servers to only write data to the includes/configure.php file and not to write a whole set of data (or any) to the admin/includes/configure.php file. Vger
