Two "products serial numbers" (model number) ?

Hi,

 

 

When I order products from the manufacturers/suppliers , I need to specify them their "products serial Numbers".

 

I have also my own "products serial number" that I use in my store.

 

So my Question: Is there any contribution that could help me to use the 2 serial numbers that it will be easy to handle purchases & customers orders ??

I would imagine there is a contribution that provides the functionality that you desire.

 

All you really need to do though is edit the products table to add the serial_number field. Then edit the admin/categories.php file to include the new field in all processing.

 

If you wish to display this information on your catalog side then you will need to edit a few other files there as well.
