Thumbnail image - bad quality

Hi,

I uploaded about 70 products to my website and have a question relating to the thumbnail quality of the uploaded jpgs I use. The original image size is very clear and all are at 400x400. The problem is that the thumbnail view automatically shrinks the images down to 80x80 and therefore teh quality is less than decent. Is there a way to correct this?

I was thinking... is there a way to upload 2 different images (i.e. image1_small.jpg and image1_large.jpg)?

I counldn't find any contribution for this or maybe I simply did not deep enough.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I've had this same problem and you can make the small image size bigger in the Configuration/Images section of the admin panel. I made mine 100 x 100 which helps but they are still not clear as the large ones are. I would be very interested in hearing an answer on this one myself if anyone knows. But I could never figure out a way to have a thumbnail and a large one.

I use http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...matic+thumbnail

It was simple to install and works amazingly well. My "thumbs" were about 200k each and choppy now they are around 6k each and super sharp.

This sounds great to me ... I went to the page and there are about a dozen different things as the bottom to download. Can you be more specific and tell me which one(s), exactly, I should download to install?

Thanks ... hope I can get this to work for me.

The latest one will work fine. That's what I used. Make sure to backup everything, including your DB before you start tho.
