Having trouble with downloadable pdfs

Hi, I am having trouble setting up items (adobe pdf files) as downloadable. What i have done is create the item, gone to product attributes and made two options (1-Paperback & 2-PDF Download) and have specified the download location of the file. my problem is this :

 

When i try to purcase a downloadable item, i am asked what shipping method i would like to use, when i clearly don't need shipping

 

any help with this would be greatly appreciated
