cpthk Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 Go to your admin. click on tools, then click on server info It only tells me it's 2.2 MS2. It does not tell me the update is. Is there any other way? I can not just overwrite all the files into the newest version. Because my original one has owned template installed. Or is there anyway to just backup template? Thanks.
spax Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Download the latest version and you will find a file with all the latest updates.
cpthk Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 Download the latest version and you will find a file with all the latest updates. But I am trying to see the original version. If it's the newest version, then I don't have to do the update. There is no way to see the exect version?
spax Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 If you have the zip file from when you installed, it will be named after that particular update. i.e. oscommerce-2.2ms2-060817 is the latest.

Yes, of course. As I mentioned earlier. That was not installed by me. So I do not have the original zip file. Man, such a huge strong program stuck on a so little problem.
spax Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 It isn't a big problem, you just need to do some investigation. If your store isn't heavily modded, you only need a file comparison tool - like WinMerge - and compare your files to the latest update. Just cross reference the files that have been updated. Those files and changes, from 051112, are stated in a text file, that comes packaged. Even if your store has been radically altered, you should still be able to pick the bones of it.
