osCommerce does not have an admin login by default.

 

If you are referring to an .htaccess password then you would need to access your server's control panel, visit the password protection area, select the user, and change the password from there.

 

If you have installed one of the admin password contributions then you will need to look in that area for the admin user managment.

If the prompt for a username and password is appearing in a popup box then you need to look in your control panel.

or you can look and see if you have write access to your .htwasswd file and create a new .htpasswd file from for example link and then part two (2. .htpasswd Tool)

 

but then again, there are many ways in which you can create that file.

All i did when i forgot my password was deleted the .htaccess file in the route directory and uploaded the standard .htaccess file you get with a standard OSC install.

 

then go into your hosting server control panel and password protect the admin directory.
