Multiple Stores, One Database?

I have multiple domains that I would like to run my same store off of. I have been able to get the stores running off the same database successfully. The products and basic content will all be the same, but the domain and organization of the content will be different.

I have heard this may hurt my SEO on all websites.

1. Is this true?

2. Will changing the layout help any?

3. Is there any way to run multiple sites off the same DB/Admin without hurting my SEO?

I want to run more stores, but I don't want to add more work for myself. Having all domains resort to the same Admin/Orders list will help tremendously. Basically, I have a parent company that will sell the same inventory under different names. Please help if you can.

Thanks

I have almost the identical situation and I'm wondering if osCommerce would be my best solution for this project. We own several domains and would like to have several different "storefronts" but work from one Admin and Database.

Is this possible and what would need to be done to achieve this?

Thank you for your assistance.
