Increasing product image size

Hi everyone

 

I have emailed my web designer about this but as yet have heard nothing back.

I am really new at this and changing things I have little experience with scares me a Little!

 

Ok this is my problem:

I have images on site of my products though some are not at all clear. Even when you choose * show larger Image* it is still unclear. Some of the items have words on them and it just looks like a black line.

Others are very squashed.

My question is can i just change the Pixel size and will it only effect the product size and not the banner or anything else? And if so any suggestions to the size i should use.

 

Currently the Small image width is set at 100 and the height at 80

The best solution is to install an image "thumbnail" solution - there are a number of contributions here

 

These will create a true thumbnail of your larger images to display which are much better quality than the "squished" images you get with a default osCommerce :)
