Help with text main

Recommended Posts

It's been months upon months since I have had to update the text on the main page, after a server crash we have recovered all our files however I need to change the text main file. I have tried for the last few hours and have read tons of threads trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, as I keep getting errors. I have copied the non edited text below, could someone please get rid of all the extra default test and simply type put your text here allowing me to copy it and drop it into the sever. I can edit the text, but for some reason keep cutting out a needed command. Please help, Thank you.

You must remember to escape quotes with a backslash - there is one missing in 'what\'s new here?' (how it should be) and 'let\'s see what we have here' - carefully check the file for this :)
