jpweber
Well, in your admin/includes/configure.php file, you should have this line: define('DIR_FS_BACKUP', DIR_FS_ADMIN . 'backups/'); And then on the server side of things, in your admin folder, there should be a folder entitled "backups". So go to your FTP tool, or whatever, and check out your server. Open the admin folder, and you should see a "backups" folder/directory. If it's not there, make one. Good luck. Gameprodigy
Im pretty sure the "backups" folder has to be set to CHMOD 777 I also noticed your directory error says backup does not exist, but your folder is entiled backups i.e. plural make sure your configure file says backups not backup define('DIR_FS_BACKUP', DIR_FS_ADMIN . 'backups/');

Guest
I've had a directory show as 777 in my FTP client and this problem persisted - when going to the directory through the host control panel, the permissions were in fact 644 - I reset them and all was sweet :) Sonia
