rusty1001
Hi 1.Just wondering if there was an option, when the catalog imports the image , is there a setting to resize the image to be larger, I have found some code but it enlarges the thumbnail and is too pixelated, 2.another option I am hoping is achieveable is perhaps go straight to the the image of the product by- passing the product info page product listing page, I am looking at puting up images and dont need to much info...? Is that possible?? Thanks to all the contributors. regards Russell Rusty -------------------------------------------
digbydo
The image you upload is the one that displays as "click to enlarge". The other image sizes are defined in Admin / Configuration / Images one-click installation.. Dave's info
Wendy James
One option you have is to install a thumbnail contribution. There are a a couple of kinds I would suggest 1. Allows you to upload a small image for the product listing page, and a larger image for the product page/popup. 2. You upload the large image (which you should be doing anyhow) and the thumbnail contribution will shrink the image to the correct size (specified in admin) so there is no distortion. Some of the multible image contributions allow you to specify the product page images size seperately than the thumbnail size. This sounds like it would work for you... or you could edit the product page directly and change the size but that is not something I suggest if you do not know what you are doing. Thanks for your responses.... What I want is when you go the product info page, I want that image to be larger than it is now, it could be the size of the actual upload image , where is that size controlled? I have tried the image sizing in the admin but that does not seem to be what I am looking for....perhaps it is there.... the other alternative would be to by pass the product info page in this case and go straight to the popup.. ?? thanks Russell Rusty -------------------------------------------
Wendy James
The image sizing in a stock osCommerce store only controls the thumbnail size. Not the product page size. If you install one of the many contributions available (make sure you read the descriptions) you would then have an option in admin to set the seperate size for the product page. You can also instal a contribution that makes the product listing page have popups when the image is clicked, bypassing the product page if you have the buy now buttons (and no attributes to choose from) on that page as well. If you have attributes there is a contribution that could add the attributes as well as the buy now button on the product listing page. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,112 Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
