WS Evolution Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Has anyone got any suggestions for dealing with a corrupted database? Is it worth fixing all the tables using myphpadmin? Each repair seems to be deleting large part of the table, by the time I finish I don’t think there will be much left. What are the likely courses of a corruption? It happened the same day an error log got too large and had to be moved, but I cant see why this would corrupt the database. The hosting company also reset the database after removing the error file so I guess it most likley happend durring the reset! Or could it be an error in the shop??? would not of thought any error would currupt as many tables as it has, but not sure?? Are there any steps shop owners can take to reduce the chance of such a problem occurring. Because the site has heavy use from admin and customer sides there is likely to be a considerable loss in data. Any help and suggestions would be most appreciated Regards, Gareth
