Products Price, List, Rebate, etc.

I am working on adding in some additional features to the pricing schemes used in Free-Call for Price.

 

These include:

List Price

Rebate Price ... can either be the Rebated Amount or the After Rebate Amount

 

Here are a couple products showing where I am at:

Questions I have is if you were using Rebates, would you always show them as either Price After Rebate or Savings with Rebate but never want to mix the two on the same site?

 

Or, would you be difficult and make the programmer (moi :shock:) have to code for the possibility that you want to mix and match the After Rebate and Rebate Savings on the same site?

 

Right now I have it where you can do one or the other per site.

 

On List Price, is there more to it than ... show:

List Price

Regular Special

 

Or is that all that is needed there?

 

Any suggestions here would be helpful. Oh, and yes, all the text or lack of on those prices is customizable.

 

Oh, and don't order things off the /working site as I have not added in anything to test what you are doing and you just make a mess for me :cry:

Can you send me the code for the rebate, I just want the rebate, I would like to install the whole call for price 4.0, but I have made some changed on the files, and don't want to messed it up. If I can implant, offer price and the rebate, the site would almost complete. I wish I would have installed the call for price first, then mod. But I have done mod first, now all the contribution come out..

I have not broken the Rebates and List Price code out to be stand alone.

 

I will try to get to this when my schedule allows.

 

Beyond Compare helps alot in making these changes.

 

You might look through the Free Call for Price v4.0 code and see where things really need changing to just use the List and Rebate features.

 

I have not looked at it, but you might try just adding the product_info.php and the fields for the Rebate then the functions and language files as explained in the docs.

 

List and Rebate if I am not mistaken do not use /classes/currencies.php

 

That means most everything for those two features are only where you see them, ie products_info.php plus the function files and language files.

 

Too many funcitons and too many definitions are not going to hurt you to have just to use the product_info.php code.
