remove categories count

i want to remove the totals in fornt of catagories on front page but i could not do that

currenty the links below catagories look like this

Hardware (6)

Software (4)

DVD Movies (17)

 

i want to remove the totals like:

Hardware

Software

DVD Movies

 

how do i do this

In admin side of store

admin->configuration->my store->show categories count->set to false
