Jayson Wonder Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Hi, I cannot got get paypal to update my orders in osc so I figure based on reading here that I need to try IPN..... This all seem quite complicated. I wish there was a simple smooth process to mae paypal work. I looked at the IPN contributions but I sill am lost. I see they have 1.4 there but when I donw load it there are is only 1 file. I am not sure if I need to install an oler version first if so which one. Please can someone tell me clearly how and what I must do to get Paypal to work, with orders sent to OSC. I have tried to search and read contributions but I only get more confused,. Surely there is a simple, clear step by step way to make this work Thanks in advance.

I assume this was the page you were looking at: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2679 The v1.4 that you downloaded only has an updated file in it. /include/modules/payment/paypal_ipn.php Download the latest one that Terra uploaded. It has everything. If you want you can replace the the file thats in 1.4 with the one thats in 1.3. It says theres bug fixes. I was a bit confused and did not want to start making changes and screw things up. I will try this install tomorrow. Appreciate your help!
