Muldrick
My site shows the security lock with a line through it. When I go to the home page and ask to only show secure items, it won't show the "eGlobal-Mart Trading presents...." image, which tells me the image is not secured. That image used to have an external link, which I removed. However, the image is still "not secure"....why? Please take a look at my site. I need it to be secure (don't I?) How can I accomplish this? natewlew
Its your google-analytics script. When you create the script at google you need to use the secure one. This is whats on your site: <script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> _uacct = "XXXXXXX"; urchinTracker(); </script> Other great Open Source (Free) programs: (Free as in free speech not free beer) The Gimp - An image program. | Firefox - All you have to do is add the Web Developer add-on to make this web browser complete. | FileZilla - An ftp program. | Inkscape - A good program to create images with. | Thunderbird - An email program. | Openoffice.org - An office suite that is compatible with MS Office. | Abiword - Another office suite. | Audacity - A sound recording tool. | ddp's Picks | Wordpress - An easy to use blogging software. | Joomla - An easy to use CMS that has ecommerce plug-ins. | Drupal - Another CMS How do I find these programs? Google Search!
Muldrick
Thanks. Got rid of that Google stuff. Got rid of the (Vegas) picture that had an external link. It still is only partially secure, after I log in. :(
Muldrick
I also got rid of the image "eglobal-mart trading presents....". It is only an image, why does that make the page un-secured???? Here's the code: <IMG src="http://customcarputers.com/images/carhead.jpg" align=absMiddle border=0></A></TD></TR> <TR>
Cathi
From what I can understand, the images and links on a secure page have to use relative paths, instead of absolute. Cathi
Muldrick
I guess I can't edit a post , after a certain amount of time. I found that in Firefox it still shows partial secure (a lock with a line through it), and in IE it shows the full padlock. This is after I remove the image and even all my text. Silverado05
Google has a secure version of that analytics script. How can I obtain tracking code for secure pages? Other then that we don't know what else could be making your site unsecured without seeing them. If you have images make them relative paths instead of absolute. Also sometimes if you have external links you can simply just make http https and sometimes that will do the trick. To find out what isn't secure in IE not FF because FF normally won't prompt you depending on your browser settings. So in IE then the prompt comes up for non secure items click no to show. Then it will block out all that is unsecured and then you will know what you need to secure. Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post. The forum is for seeking help and advice NOT for someone to do your work for you. Try to do something on your on, if you are going to run a shop then learn how it works.
