Cylliric font problem in /catalog/contents

Hi,

 

my site is translated to three languages, English and Ukrainian and French.

Now, i have created a new product category called

in English : Paris

in French : Paris

in Ukr. : Париж

 

The problem is that, 'Париж' does not print out 'Париж' as expected, but 'Пари' instead

HOWEVER, if i write 'sssssssss' instead of 'Париж', then prints out 'sssssssss' correctly....

and this applies to both the catalog section and the admin feature.

 

Although i gather this has gotta be a font-related problem, i have no clue as to how to get around it...

 

any thoughts on this?
