MasterC
Hello! I am sure I botched a contrib install, but I don't really know which one and now I'm a bit lost on where to look for the cause. If you head over to: http://www.pauselivetv.com You'll see my left column is correct, then a space (where I assume a block was removed during my ventures) and then my right column, on the left side. Any thoughts on how I move my right column back to the right side? Thanks! -Chad
♥14steve14
As a guess i would suggest that you probably altered your index.php file somehow, as all seems ok on the rest of your site. If you did add a contribution and it affected the index.php file try replacing it with your backed up copy and try again. Saying that i may be wrong REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
GemRock
The error is likely in the section between <!-- body_text //--> and <!-- body_text_eof //-->. MasterC
Thanks for the responses! I put the original back (and just to make sure I actually downloaded a fresh copy of osC and used it's index.php) but there was no change. Any other thoughts? Could it be something in the sql? The most recent contrib I installed was Specials on default.php (which was last updated in Oct of this year, so I assume it isn't a problem with an outdated contrib). Thanks again! -Chad
Squizzix
Which contribution did you use? Thanks for the responses! MasterC
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,123 I've gone back through every step of the install, and reversed everything it told me to change/add (with the exception of the SQL, and I could revert back the SQL to an earlier time as well, but that would be a minor pain as we've added some new products and such since the last SQL backup prior to the contrib above) but nothing changed. I'm going to try an SQL dump and restore on a completely blank/new oscommerce download and see if the right side is there. IF it is, I think I can then rule out the SQL statement being the problem... Thanks for the response, as always, welcome to any ideas. -Chad
GemRock
you will be wasting your time to look at sql etc. As I mentioneed before, the problem is between the body text and body text eof. See a screenshot of your site where I deleted all that section except a few lines at the biginning: Ken commercial support - unProtected channel, not to be confused with the forum with same name - open to everyone who need some professional help: either PM/email me, or go to my website (URL can be found in my profile). over 20 years of computer programming experience. MasterC
Thanks! I'll plug away further, I removed all of the changes that the above mentioned contrib made and it had no impact, so I put them back. I've diffed (using vimdiff) the index.php from a fresh download of oscommerce and my modified index.php and the only differences it found was the change from the contrib above that I had put back. I'll keep looking and see what I can find. Thanks! -Chad
MasterC
I moved files back and forth using the completely untouched index.php from a new download of oscommerce, and there was no change. I'll plug through the index.php to see if I can find a reference to another file that I've tweaked recently. Thanks. -Chad
