Optimal Payments: Help installing module

Recommended Posts

Posted

I'm trying to get the FirePay / Surefire / Optimal Payments payment module (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2463/category,13/search,optimal) installed into my non-default osCommerce installation. I say non-default because it started out as a Netfirms Commerce Pro installation, which is osCommerce wrapper in Netfirms logos, and I've since added modules to it (discount coupon, plus a bunch of reformatting of the pages).

I'm reasonably proficient with PHP and web technology in general but I've got to admit I'm stumped here. I placed the firepay.php files in the appropriate places. But Firepay/Optimal never shows up in my list of available payment modules in my admin interface. I thought maybe osCommerce wasn't seeing the file so I purposely introduced a bug in the PHP code in firepay.php and *then* when I loaded the payment module admin page osCommerce complained -- so it's definitely loading the module, or at least parsing the firepay.php file.

I'm not very familiar with the osCommerce payment module API. Has anyone gotten this module to work with the 2.2 osCommerce release on LAMP stack using PHP 5? Any tips are greatly appreciated.
