problem with content

Hi,

 

I've installed it with no problems, got everything setup right.

First problem is that there is nothing in the home page content window (such as welcome and a few products), and secondly when i click on one of the category items i get an error page starting with 'Lets see what we have here' then a load of jargon below.

 

I'm doing a fresh install just to check that the problem wasn't there.
