Web Charlie Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hi, All - :D Brand new here, just downloaded software, haven't installed yet. I browsed knowledgebase and still can't find answer. I hope this is the right forum. Here goes... Can I set up OSCommerce so that a customer fills out an on-line order form, presses a SUBMIT button, and have the form faxed to me along with an e-mail confirmation to him and to me? All without going through a payment gateway? I have a merchant account that is totally uncompatible with e-commerce solutions, and I don't want to change since I've been with them for over 15 years and get exceptional rates. Thanks! Chuck PS: I don't want just e-mail form, I need a signed document, hence the fax. cd Quote
dynamoeffects Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 How do you plan on them signing an online form? There are email to fax services where an email sent to a specific address will be faxed to a certain number. Google should be able to help you there. Quote Please use the forums for support! I am happy to help you here, but I am unable to offer free technical support over instant messenger or e-mail.

I guess I didn't think that thread all the way through. Thanks for pointing out the hole in my logic. :-" Actually, the thought just occured to me that many phone orders now ask for the three numbers on the back of the card near the signature block as further proof that you actually have the card in front of you. Not the same as a signature, but still better than blindly accepting a card number as legit. All of this still begs the question, does OSCommerce provide for such an offline processing option?
