Turning Global register on

I have installled the global register v1.5 files, but im not sure how to turn them on, Iv read I have to create a php ini file, how do I do this, cheers Ash

create a file called php.txt and in this file add register_globals = on;

 

Upload it to your root folder or wherever your cataliog is and then rename it php.ini

You may also have to upload the same file to sub folders with .php scripts in them.

right I did what you said but still having no luck, it says its a text file even though i renamed in ini, is this correct? cheers Ash

the file should read php.ini

it does read that but it looks differnet to all the other files and it says its a text document not a PHP file, is this correct? Thanks Ash

it will look different as it's not a php file and dreamweaver shows different icons for different file types
