Install Problems

Hello,

I seem to be having some problems installing this software. I add all the files in the correct directory and i can get to the install page but once I do I am only able to get to step 2. For some reason when i try to click next to go to step 3 it just reloads the page of step 2 and will not go any further.

My System: Fedora Core 4 (Linux)

PHP: PHP 5.0.4 (cli)

MySQL: mysql Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.11

I use the wget command to get the osc package so i'm not uploading this from my pc. Although i have tried both ways with no luck.

I made sure all files belong to the respective user and that the perms are set correctly but i do not have a perm listing to let me know what each file should or shouldn't be set too other then whats in the install instuctions.

Any help on this issue would be great as I do not see anything listed for trouble shooting this type of problem.

I'm a complete newbie as well, and I'm having the exact same issue with step 2. However, I'm on a Win Xp Pro system with PHP 5, Apache2.0, and Mysql5.0

I'd also greatly appreciate if anyone could help me on this issue

I normally install the product manually on windows systems - Configure the configure.php files and run the sql file via phpmyadmin

Thank you for the advice, and if I run into further issues, I will look to do that.

I just figured out the step 2 issue, however. I had to go into the php.ini file and set register_long_arrays to on. I probably should have searched the forums BEFORE i hit reply the first time...
