holyone Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Hello all, when my system is sending e-mail and the "Send e-mail in html" option is "true", then, Inside the e-mail that the user got, the link to the page "account_history_info.php" cannot being click on!! But when the system send the e-mail with the option "Send e-mail in html" is false, then, the user can click on the link to "account_history_info.php"... How can it be? thx.
Gameprodigy Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Id have to say it could be the persons email client, if they are using outlook or outlook express, when you send it in HTML format their email client could be blocking the link as a security measure. When you send it as a text document, the client automatially realizes that it is a Link and automatically converts it to a hyperlink. I know when I receive email using outlook express ( i have mcafee too) that it blocks HTML for privacy policy reasons. I would test it in the HTML format using more then one email client, ie a yahoo or msn address as well as outlook, it may just be how the persons email is setup when receiving mail.
iscnitzan Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hi, No, Gameprodigy is correct and what he say is true. I tested this with Hotmail, Yahoo mail, and gmail - in all the actual html email is being produced when html is off... Go figure.... I just left it with html off since I also use package tracking which requires no html. More troublesome is the fact that all emails sent by the store to my clients are actually blocked by spam protection! So - they do not actually get the email. Anyone else has this problem? and if so - how do I solve it?
