travtele615 Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I've got a store and am selling stock photography including Prints and Downloads. Currently I've got an image listed in the print category as a product and then the same image in a download category as a different product. Are there any contribs. that will allow one dropdown (any form control would work here) box to have the attributes "Print" or "Download" and then on selecting one, populate a drop downbox with either the Print Sizes attributes or the Download Sizes attributes. I've spent the last 2 days trying to come up with something and looking through the forums and contribs but didn't see anything yet. For reference I'm pretty new to php and sql stuff but am willing to get my hands dirty if some one can point me in a direction. Thanks for the help Travis Tackett
djmonkey1 Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 It sounds like what you're trying to do is have cascading attributes. I have seen other people asking for this but as far as I know, and I am far from an ultimate resource, this kind of functionality has not been introduced via a contribution. In a stock osC store your print and download versions would have to be two separate products. You should check out the Master Products contribution- you should be able to accomplish something similar although not identical to what you're looking for using that package, and in fact offer your customers the option of purchasing both print and download versions of one product from one page at the same time. Do, or do not. There is no try. Order Editor 5.0.6 "Ultra Violet" is now available! For support or to post comments, suggestions, etc, please visit the Order Editor support thread.

I didn't think there was anything out there. I'm actually doing it as you guessed with 2 separate products right now but think it could be handled better as one product with different attributes. Makes for a real pain loading products twice. Thanks again Travis Tackett
