The problem is, we are getting A lot of complains from customers who are getting in to a loop while trying to add products to the shopping cart - they just cant seem to be able to add products to the shopping cart and they are keep getting kicked back to the log in page, can someone please tell us what is causing the problem and what is the best way to deal with it?

Make sure "Cookies only" is not turned on in the admin. You might also trying to edit the way sessions are stored in your configuration file.
