Affiliates.. how, what, where!?

Hi,

I want to create some affiliate acounts with links to give to people etc etc. Where do I begin!? :blink: I see the affiliates secton in admin, but nothing there is particularly conclusive for a newbie.

 

What to do and how to do it would be very much appreciated.

Do you mean you want to advertise other peoples sites on your, or you want to give banner links to other people so they advertise your site?

 

If it is the latter there are a few contribs available

Yes the latter. Excuse my ignorance, but the contribution needs to be installed and then the 'Affiliates' section in my admin will do its stuff? Rather than the non conclusive stuff its doing now.
