mwakeham Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I have MySQL 5 installed on a Linux box and want to use OSCommerce with it. Are there any known incompatibilities with this that I should be aware of? Myles
jasonabc Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I have several stores running fine on MySQL 5. You may find the odd issue due to MySQL 5 enforcing common SQL standards more strictly - but these are easily and quickly fixed. jasonabc Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 How can you fix it? If you have the latest version - there is no fix needed as it works fine with MySQL 5 straight out of the box. Otherwise - download the latest version and open "update-20060817.txt" contained in the zip. Down at the bottom are the patches you need to apply to an older version of OSC to get it working with MySQL 5.
