Moved website to new server, got db transfered... White screen instead of checkout confirmation???

Hey guys, I just moved my store over from one server to another. The new host is yahoo if it maters. I got it moved over and reconfiged the files I thought OK, and it seemed like creating the database and uploading the info went smooth.

 

I have one or two funky things going on still though. The biggest one is when you check out, it gets to the "checkout_confirmation.php", I just get a white page and nothing happens? If i go back, or open a new window or whatever, and go check the admin, the order does not get submitted either.

 

Another problem I'm having is it seems no matter WHAT i do the backup directory "does not exist" please set this in configure.php, i've messed with it for hours.

PS this version definantly works on PHP5 because I got owned by that once already on my last host. And, this install definantly "works" because it worked on my last server, and I didn't change a thing moving it over. I'm 99% sure I just have some kinda config problem here.
