rommany Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 I paid to be listed in the yahoo directory ($299.00) for the first 12 mts i was put on the first page for some keywords within days and was getting around 1000 vistors per month but not many sales so i did not pay for the second 12 mts, i was dropped like a ton of bricks from the search engine. I have submited my site to the free yahoo uk directory 4 times now and im still not listed, not to sure i ever will be(money speaks louder than words). After a month or so i searched yahoo for my site and to my amazement i was listed higher or about the same position for the same keywords as before and im getting more hits know, so being in the directory will of course help but not be listed will not hurt either. Im sure some will disagree but my figures speak for them self. I also get 95% of my sales from google (15000 unique visitors per month) so i think yahoo (1200 unique visitors per month) is miles behind google and some what dead.
