SSL error can anyone help please

I have only one problem in life and that is the setting up of my SSL on my website.

 

the company I am with provide an SSL space.

 

https://vault2.secured-url.com/

 

But when a customer is directed to it they get

 

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

 

What does this mean?

What do I need to do?

 

Can any one help at all
